u.b. i cant tell if this is a fox or coyote. my dad isnt sure either he said to ask u. im thinkin a fox

it's hard with no size reference it's tough to tell.
big red or small coyote.
what was the space between steps?
a coyote has a longer step. sometimes 14" between front prints.
a fox is smaller, and the width is narrower-outside to outside.

oh i was told coyotes walk straight and fox dont might be right or wrong thats what i was told

Looks a lil big. I'm gonna through my guess at a dog (as in house type dog).

i had huge prints this year show on one of my spots, even the state trapping teacher thought is was a domestic. then they were spotted running together. two coyotes in the upper 50lbs to lowwer 60lbs.
it is very hard to tell the difference from a domestic and a coyote.
some say the toes make or break it. i feel you can tell more from the gate of the animal. also coyotes work a main trail, then break off for 10 yards or so, then come back to the main, over and over again. they hunt by flushing. but i seen them in pairs, one flushing, the other working the open edge to do the catching.
domestic dogs rely more on their nose to hunt. and have a different gate to them as they move through the woods.
