well i did it i got my first turkey today i have been chasing him all week long. he was the hardest thing i ever hunted it seemed he was 1 step ahead every time it started saturday at around 10 when i was switching spots . i was driving past a field in the SGL that i hunt and there he was struting across the field . when he saw my truck he bolted i tried calling and nothing . i got out trying not to spoke him and got back in there monday morning.i heard him in the trees gobbling up a storm. he flew down sounded about a hundred yards off i tried calling and nothing .so i stopped calling and hour later a hen comes out and he is coming after her . he stops behind some brush at the edge of the fieldand pokes his head out and take one look at my decoy and turns around and goes the other way. so tuesday i leave him alone and hunt another spot no luck.i go back wensday. and nothing just some hens . so today i decide to go down the road about 500 yards or so.and setup in another field. im walking in the field and my wife who is dew any day now who has let me hunt everyday all day.text me and says good luck today is your day your gonna get that bird.so i sit down 25 to 30 yards away from were she text me and dont you no it a hour and half later right under the tree i was reading that text that bird starts gobbling so im like great he saw me this morning and is gonna fly the other way.so i sit tight and i hear him drop down and there he is walking out to the field right towards me. he is strutting straight at me. and keeps looking at me i cant move my heart is raceing so fast . i keep saying turn around so i can lift my gun. he does not but in stead steeps behind a 6 inch tree so is ay here is my chanceand lift my gun. what felt like a life time when he finaly poped his head past that tree . and looked right at me so i lifted my safey and let him have it boom. he flipped on his back and got up jumping and screaming thanking god and as i was running i called my wife to tell her the news.she was tired but still excited . well sorry for the long story just wanted to share my hunt with you guys since i have been on so many hunts with you guys and this is where i have learned alot about hunting. the bird weighed in at 20 pounds had 1 1/8 spurs and had 10 6/8 inch beard i have pics but dont no how to upload thanks for readingIMG]http://i275.photobuckethttp://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj289/jerseygsp/101_0564.jpghttp://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj289/jerseygsp/101_0562.jpg
