since this thread hasn't taken off yet.
last weekend in 15
me and my dad were out on our lease. got out early to set up. as the sky turned blue i could see turkeys behind us. a little while later the rooster started crowing. that sent 15 different gobblers into a gobble fest. they were sounding off in four different locations.
at fly down a hen dropped in at 15 yards from my dad. she joined the decoys. then two more hens walked past and hit the decoy set up in the field. about five minutes later we had 8 jakes and gobblers walk past at 40 yards. i hit them with a couple soft yelps on the glass, pulled the fireline to bring my jake decoy into full strut. then here they come, 6 gobblers in a tight group. they walked right up to the decoys, but dad couldn't shoot. they were all shoulder to shoulder, drumming and spitting at each other. they all milled around for a minute, then started to get some space between them. my dad let loose. bird was taken at 10 yards.
9 1/2" beard, 7/8 spurs
after the shot there were 35-45 turkeys flying and running everywere, what a sight.

Here is one I called in for a friend at 11 am. Had 5 jakes and 2 hens on us right away but the big boys wouldn't come. After 20 mins of calling and sitting silent they gave in when a smaller(8" beard)Tom came from across the field it was to much for the big guys. Three came in to about 35 yards he shot this one but there was one that was clearly larger. Maybe later this week:D
10" beard 1-1/4 and 1-1/8 spurs..
