after hunting all week with no sucess,only to have last day set up perfect and then!!!!!!!!!!. i hunt williamstown area and anyone who knows this area knows its hunted hard and turkeys run as soon as you strike the call at times..lolso here it is last day of my week i found a field loaded last night and headed back this am.the eway my week went i was prepared to stick it out here for last morning,i brought a folding chair, bought a news paper and set my blind up by515....the blinds work grt by the way there painted black inside so turkeys cant see you.so now the turkeys from the night before r gobbling like crazy im surrounded!! so here we go 640 i have 3 jakes walk rite at my decoys from right to left.knowing its last day for me and having 2 tags im pumped .finally im gonna get one,RITE? WRONG.I SET THE GUN (870 EXPRESS REMINGTON)ON THE LEAD BIRD AS NOW ITS ONLY 7 YRDS AWAY I SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER AND .......zero.... would you believe the gun froze. i ejected the shells reloaded and still had chance and again ZERO. ITHINK THE OIL I USED GUMMED IT UP:cool::cool:BOO HOO

Low blow man. Sorry to hear. I had that happen to me before with deer, but the fireing pin litterally froze inside the gun. While walking out I kept my hands over the reciever and shouldered it up to a big tree and wham it went off. It was doe season and I had a large heard come by (2 buck, 6 doe) with a monster 8pt and spiker, but I just wanted to take the lead doe. I guess it just wasen't ment to be. Again sorry to hear. If it makes any difference your not the only one it's happened too. I had a buddy who had that happen to him during bear season. Openning morning here comes a 300lber. At about 30yds. Click, click, click, click,he cycled the entire gun. Here it must of been his last shot sighting it in the spring that lets the fireing pin go broke. He still has all the rounds. Their in a glass case. In order and each round the dimple is less and less and less. The bear just staired at him and then slowly walked away. Stuff happens!!!!

that sucks.... I 'm hunting around that area also & the bnird have been a little funny this year. As far as the 2 permits I really think no matter how many you have you can still only harvest 1 per day.
