I used to go to Moore's Lake on south state street in Dover to take my dog swimming. But it was usually during the week. Lots of people are down there on the weekends fishing especially with this nice weather. I also take them down to Bowers beach to go swimming in the saltwater. There are a bunch of little ponds around get an ADC map of Kent county there about $13. It will have all of the little ponds and the public boat ramps marked. good luck.

Look up info on "Del-Bay Retriever Club".....This is a field trial and hunting dog club....lots of friendly people with your same interests from all over the state....
attend a hunting dog trial and you will meet people who will point you in the right direction.....introduce yourself and ask questions...good luck
with training....
