I've doing a lot of looking into this lately. I'm going to switch to Easton Axis arrows this year. They are an in-fused carbon w/ aluminum. Suppose to give you better penatration. The CX's are good, Easton Excels, and Bemon ICS's are all good too.

i bought a new x force ts and the beamans are lighter so its shooting 322 but with the axis it was 305 pretty big difference i thought but the axis flew great couldnt complain killed two deer with the same arrow pretty durable

Yeah the axis should be heavier arrows thus flying slower. Just don't exchange speed for kinetic energy.

I've been shooting Easton aluminum arrows for 36 years loved them until now. Got some Carbon Express Maxima Hunter arrows forward weighted. These have got to be hands down the best shooting arrow I have ever shot. I'm holding a 3" group at 70 yards. Now thats what I call a good shooting arrow.

I'm going to try the Easton Axis 400's this season. I'm happy with them on the practice range. Like the 2" blazer vanes too.

Well as most of you know i do not post much but a co worker of mine just finished testing several arrows the old beaman ics the ones with the outsert not insert maxima foward weights and the new trophy ridge CRUSH.Now without trying to byased i am gonna give you facts as i have gotten them starting with the test that were performed each arrow all arrows shot from a hoyt at 72 lbs draw had its ibo speed its 10 20 and 30 yard speed taken....
maxima ibo was 305 10 yard was 287 20 yard was 285 30 yard was 274
old beaman ibo was 305 10 was 288 20 was 285 and 30 was 277
Trophy ridge Ibo was 306 10 was 289 20 was 287 and 30 was 283
now if you were to go by those numbers the trophy ridge not only is faster but it holds the energy of being released by the bow take it for what it is but i order my new trophy ridge arrows and the only problem i have seen is that they are very hard to get i been waiting 3 weeks and still no arrows place in cape may court house has them but not my wieght needed when i start shooting them off my new truth 2 i will let ya'll know what i think:thup:

I use GoldTip Hunter XT's with 2 inch blazer's. They fly great and make a difference in your groupings
