Hey i got a nice bird with out even having to call. We walk half way to where we were planning on going. Then i stopped my dad and told him there were turkey's up ahead in the roost so we decided not to push them off the roost. So we were about to duck into the woods so my dad turns around and he tells me to look up:rolleyes: in the tree. So i turn around and there was a monster long beard in a tree a alone so i hurry into the woods. 10 to 15 minutes later we hear gobblers all over the place. The bird started to fly down off the roost. He took one step and i waffled him. My coffe was still warm it took me 2 minutes to kill a bird we didnt set up a decoy or even call he just can right done.:thup:i wish it was that easy last year i hunted ever day then the last day i finally got a jake. It was so hard between turkey cyotes ALMOST running us over and attackin our decoys and other hunters. This was my first good turkey.
