Joe I will be basically running a huge water line for Coon,Muskrat and Mink. The Coon there are Huge XXXL A's.The Rats get as big as our Larges, but they are very heavy and prime.I will run a Dry line for Red Fox and Coyote and possibly a Bobcat to boot.
The Snare Regs are pretty open.Looks like the Amberg System and Camlocks for me with Swivels.Wont be able to snare Rats or Mink though the snares have to have a stop set for 2 1/2 " like or deer stop.Any Loop or Cable size.
Coon,Coyote and Fox are Open Year Round.
Muskrats Nov 1-April 30th
Mink Nov 1 - Jan 31st
I have already been pricing leg holds I cant wait to use them as a tool on my line. There is tons of water out there a lot of Meadows and Sloughs and Irrigation systems that are loaded with Rats and Mink,HRL:thup:

we have the same thing over my way. there are a few of us right next to each other. it's not bad, no one cuts off the other guy. when i pick up a proerty i ask around if anyone else is there. for the trapper numbers per ac. it's not too bad.
now pa, that different. i read that those guys are all over each other. sometimes setting within feet of some one elses sets.

Watch Ub.!!, one of them boys will see this and do it to ya on 1 set just for sh1ts and giggles!!!!!
River Rat, I've got a call into Ron about maybe a dozen new...if the price isnt what I want to do, I'll be in touch for the used. We dont have many rats up this way, so it's just something to set while I'm near water with canine/coon sets, but a wise ol' (:p) trapper told me I should set it anyway as long as I'm going by the water to the other sets!

im green with envy about your reds up there.
was at one of the farms we ran, today. farmer said he hasn't seen a fox in a few years. was looking for groundhogs and arrow heads. i didn't see the hog till it was too late, in the hole he went.
no k9 tracks found on the 300ac i was on today.

Yeah, we've got plenty these past few years in particular...
Your ground is soft enough to see tracks...not here. You gotta read the understory real careful and you can just tell they're there. If you dont have snow, or you're on a waterway bank with mud, it's all upland and tough to read. And forget about what looks like the main runs, it's all deer. I'm gonna have my hands full I'm sure.

make a sturdy catch pole, and bring someone to film it. :D
we do have good tracking ground down here. around me it's good soil with a little sand. go east to the pines it's all sugar sand. but it makes for good tracks. your clay and rock must suck, unless it just rained. and forget about pounding stakes and earth anchors.
get praticing on those hog snares.
