Best .22lr

Looking to buy a new bolt action .22lr in April and looking to spend max $300 on gun and scope. I am torn between Savage .22lr and Marlin 925. What would be a good rifle for this price.

I havent shopped for a 22 in years so Im not sure what is new in the market but I never liked the marlin I owned it was pretty cheezy and a lot less then $300. For $300 You could probably pick up a mint used gun that originaly sold for $500. Id look for the lightest one I could find.
