Hey everyone,
I would like to go do some scouting on some state gameland this afternoon. I know it's getting a little late, but I've never hunted this property before. Does anyone have any tips as to where I should start to look for sign especially with all this snow on the ground.. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks,
Marlin

Look for turkey tracks and scratchings....the turkey will dig down in the snow looking for food....typically you will find an entire area of scratchings. I also look for any kind of ridge as the turkeys typically roost at the top of the ridge

During late muzzleloader season i had turkey all around me everytime i hunted , went down yesterday for a walk and seen one set of tracks in the snow ,they changes their patterns . So good luck.

look for pines. they like to roost in the pines because of their straight limbs.
