Lots of apples, beech nuts and acorns, here. Going to be a great season. I took time off this weekend and went fishing. On Saturday I hit the Suskie in Oneonta for smallies. Clobered them. Most where small, quite a few where a little bigger than fingerlings. I used a number 3 gold Blue Fox. While I was there I felt something looking at me. It turned out to be a flock of 2 hens and a gaggle of polts.
On Sunday I followed the West Branch of the Delaware down to Hancock NY. Water is low, slow and warm. Caught some smallies, all small and worked hard for them.
A nice #14 even brown trout came out of the Papacton Res.
We could have used some rain from Ike.
