does anybody now if a fur goes up in value i have a gray timber wolf full fur with head,paws and claws it came with papers from canada it was purchased for 500 15 yrs ago

thats a unique pelt. someone wants it, im sure. those guys that go all out with the primitive camping, flintlocks, buckskin, they love to have that kind of stuff on display in "camp"
i'm used to selling raw fur for the clothing business. fresher the better, but dry. not sure if your wolf is leather or just dry. to me either way, leather drys out and is of less value the older it gets.
the states out west are looking at opening season for wolves. there may be a lot of wolf fur from the lower 48 real soon.
best bet is ebay, before the market gets flooded with wolf pelts. nows the time to sell.

When I was hunting in Saskatchewan two seasons ago...outfitter was selling a black/gray wolf for $900.

it does not have the head like the one in the photo its a ready to be mount
