Well yesterday was it , any chance of putting some deer on the table is lost . Between the new job, kids and the lack of deer hunting this year was the worst EVER . Anyone have this problem ?

semiauto , sorry you didnt get that last deer. I was feeling like i was goin to end the season with no more deer also. Monday i went to bait a spot to hunt saturday. Thanks to some real nice person my stand was gone. I got my climber and went out friday anyway. Wasnt really into it because of my stand being stolen. Right before dark id had three nice bucks come in. Surprised the heck out of me. They winded me . Before they bolted i was able to arrow a nice 5 pointer. I m disappointed that the season is over also. Well good luck next year.

i had a rough year also, missed 2 one to arrow deflecting off a branch and 1 to a bad shotgun shell, lost 1 good hit with the muzzy went on to a neighbors property and we don't get along , every time he hears us shoot he'll walk towards the back of his property where our two property meet and couldn't retrieve it, its in his freezer though, although i did manage to put 2 does in the freezer, spent lots of time in the woods this year though just about every day was spent with my son , he had a good year got his first 2 good bucks ,his 1st this year was a button, and next a nice 6, and to top them off a nice size 8 for his first mount , those three deer were on mon, tues, wed of six day in that order to, and just to see his smiling face on those three days (while busting my chops for having a rough year) actually made it our most memorable year so far
its gonna be a long 8 months till bow starts again

this year was the worst EVER
sorry to here that. you have deer all around your location. but it takes time in the woods. maybe next year you can put more time out.
i had the typical year. 6 or 7 deer, bow, muzzy, shotgun. one with every nj weapon. all the guys crying about no deer, you should go for a walk. there are deer everywere, you just made them nocturnal with your sloppy hunting.
still trapping now.

Well I have had a rough time in the big woods of Pa. Just not seeing the deer we used to. I think it is a multiple problem. No food for the deer with the gypsy moths destrying the trees and and less hunter presure moving the deer. I did see more deer locally in unit 5C. Saw does every day I was out but they saw me or to far for a shotgun. Last day,4 deer walked into the wood lot. My heart sank when I started to see the racks. 3 bucks and the 4th deer just stayed in the cover. Then she came my way and the 3 bucks, a 6 a Y and a big body spike followed her into an opening. I put her down with a good 00buck neck shot. Great to see the bucks, makes for the next season something to look forward to. Just gotta keep putting the time in.

HD is it legal to kill 3 bucks during 6 day season?

squidly, a buck isnt checked in as an antlered deer unless it has a three inch horn on one side. The button was probably checked in with an antlerless deer permit.
Sorry to get involved just read your post. Thought i could help.

i had a pretty good year. hunted probably 15 to 20 times this year for deer. got a personal best buck for myself on youth shotgun dropped aa 5 point. also got a doe with the smokepole. didn't get anything with the bow but passed on probably 20-30 does and 2 spikes with the bow. ended up with just the 2 deer. upgrded to 3 cams so hopefully ill get on the big bucks this upcoming bow season. bring on the gobblers:fight:

Im sick about these people who do there treestand shopping in the woods. They got two of mine this year and two last year. I chain them in and they still get them. They really work hard to get them. Ill never put a portable in a tree again. Ill use a climber until im to old to use it anymore. I HOPE THEY DONT FALL AND BREAK THERE LEGS FROM ONE OF THEM BECAUSE ITS WIERD HOW THOST BOLTS COME LOSE WITH OUT ANY NOTICE. LOL
