Don't they have a prehistoric look to them. I had a big boy like that stand up from his bed in a clear cut in Maine several years ago. I bumped him from his bed while deer hunting, he got up about 60yds in front of me and we had a staring match for about 2 minutes. I gotta tell you, the 30-06 I was carrying did nothing to make me feel secure in my position. Until you've seen one in person, you just can't imagine the enormity of these creatures.
Here's a pic I saved a while ago...

Nice. They look big in the road .but you until you have to move one that's down you have no idea just how big they are.
Liv2Hunt.Do you know where that picture was taken because I do not think it was in Maine ?If you look at the front points you see five maybe six points. The most I have ever seen or heard of was four on a side on a Maine bull.

Man , if you'd hit him with a car you'd just take his legs out and he'd land on you like a ton of bricks .

swamp donkey, applied for the drawing for a chance to buy a tag today. 5th year, fingers crossed lucky year:)Good luck.I have been trying for 25 years and have never been drawn. We have guided over a 150 who have though. This year should be better odds because alot of people do not know you have to do it in on the web this year instead of by mail.

A friend of mine shot this in Maine a few years back near Jackman. It was the largest that year in Maine and one of the larger bull moose ever taken there.

To me it looks like this picture was Photoshoped. You can see where it was cut and pasted by the light mark at his rear end also look at the shadows on the dirt road, they look more like trees then the mass of the Moose. JMO
