Has anybody had their H&R Slug Gun converted to a Muzzleloader? I am going to send mine to H&R and have it done and I just wanted to know if anybody had any problems. If you are not aware H&R has a barrel exchange. If you have a H&R shot gun you can get a Muzzleloader barrel for $120 and it comes with all nessesary hardware. The only thing is that you have to send the gun to the company because they custom fit the barrel. There are many different barrels they sell and the prices are really good. I am also going to get a 12 Ga. turkey barrel when I send it out. If anybody has done this please let me know how it worked out. Thanks

I got my gun back today. To my surprise I discovered that Remington has bought out H$R and New England Fire Arms. They did an excellent job and they even sent me updates by e-mail on the progress of my firearm. I got a 12ga 3 1/2" turkey barrel and a 50 cal. muzzle loader barrel. Both fit perfect and for a total of $289.00 not a bad bargan for two firearms. If anybody is interested go to the website and check it out. I may even send it out again for a .410 ga.

Did you get the Stainless Steel muzzleloader barrel?
Did you have a chance to shot it yet?
I'm thinking of getting one.
Thanks

I went to look for a rifled barrel for my Mossberg 2 years ago and found they made the same thing for my pump gun, a 50cal. muzzle barrel, bolt on! No sending to the factory or anything like that, just take 1 barrel off and bolt the other on. It shoots great and has killed 2 deer so far with great accuracy.
