With the first snow I've seen this year I managed to get this nice male coon. 34" from head to tail, unsure of his weight but I'm just glad to have caught him today considering the weather conditions!

seems the males are out looking for love.
they are moving trying to find denning spots. i guess his success rate goes up when they can't get out of the den. :D
they one i fleshed tonight was a big boar. bet he will board around 37" nose to skirt.

stiks works up that way somewere.
he has pulled a bunch of nice coons on little cricks behind businesses.
nothing wrong with skinning dumpster divers.
fat don't make you money, length does.
but fat pleats nice, give a full look to the back side.
i have to say i never skinned a coon that smelled like butterscotch crimpets. :D

There are some nice coon this way. A lot nicer than the farm coon, they don't rub out as quick or as much. Yeah those dumpster coon can get fat. but short fat ones are usually young ones There are some very lrge dumpster divers though. That have one heck of a fat and grease to them really makes for fun fleshing.
