as long as you don't mind spending the money and wearng the same coat for the rest of your life, that would be Filson.

I've been wearing the same Duxbak lightweight upland coat for 33 years now. It's pretty raggedy looking, but it's okay for its purpose. I don't think it's a high-end coat by any stretch of the imagination. I notice too that I am the worst dressed guy in the field whenever I'm out wearing it. I keep meaning to get a new one but never get around to it because I can't decide what's good. I like L.L. Bean's Upland vest a lot and prefer vests for upland hunting anyway. Bean's Warden Jacket was a great model for upland gunning but they don't carry it anymore. Columbia is the line a lot of my friends wear and like and Filson has the reputation of quality that lasts.

I got a LL Bean Chuckar jacket @ 25 years ago. Loved it but grew out of it. Ended up getting one for my son since they are one of the few companies that offer jackets in an adult small.

Now I have a Cabella's 8 in one jacket. I'm real happy with it. The modular system lets it work great in any weather. Loads easy from the front and unloads easy from the back.

hey guys thanks for the input i might lean toward the columbia because of the fleece liner. It does not come with the liner but the one from my parka will zip into it. Thanks again and stay safe.

Someone already said it -- Filson. I second the motion. I have a lot of Filson gear (work and hunting cloths). At first the price is a shock but the stuff lasts forever. I have coveralls for work that I've been in for 8 years. I used to destroy a pair of Cartharts every year. Do the math and you won't go wrong.

you guys who use old vests you got to watch that the orange doesnt fade. in the digest book for jersey it says that the game wardens carry around a patch of orange and if your orange isn't as bright thatn you could get fined
