Remington 700 ML question

I just purchased the nipple springs from Mumrich Arms for the 209 primer on my 700 ML. Now, I am trying to figure out how the little springs work. I thought I had an idea until I received them, but now I am lost. Anyone every use them?

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks at this great site and had to join. It appears there is a lot of knowledge out there, KEEP IT UP, I am never to old to learn.

What type of 209 setup do you?The Remington or someone else's?There are several brands made for that gun.The reason I asked is because you bought the springs from Mumrich

I believe it is the remington.

Thanks Pagrizz, you indirectly fixed the problem. Last night I checked the spare nipple I bought and low and behold it has a detent ring in the center, that the factory one is missing. It now woks like I need. Thanks a million, I should have checkthe new one but old age must have set in.
