Been hunting with a T/C Hawken and am looking for a flintlock. Been browsing and see some gorgeous customs and hand-mades but they are out of my range.
The Traditions Pennsylvaia seems fine but I was reading that the pan is too small and problems with misfires.
Any thoughts?

I Bought the Pa Pellet 3 years ago and have no problems with it at all!
i just checked the pan with my other guns and it looks bigger and lines up
better with the ignition hole than the others. I have a friend that bought
one right after I did and his is just as reliable as mine!

The pan is a little smaller than most ,but that is not the problem with them misfiring ,Usually the frizzen is to soft.If they are not harden right it will not spark every time.I have been getting lyman frizzen's with a english flint's even for my T/C's.They take a little work to get them on ,but they last longer then most factory ones.As for the gun they are as accurate as guns that cost twice as much.Keep the powder on the far side of the pan .That's the way the pro's do it and they go off almost as fast as an in-line.

I shoot a T/C Firestorm flinter. No problems at all with it. I make sure I get some 4F in the hole and she goes boom every time.

He made a believer out of me. I keep the powder all the way on the other side of the pan.

Sorry for the late reply, cookie problems.
This is all very helpful, thanks for the insight.
