A few last minute details for the Wall Township meeting and their attempt to ban hunting by means of a 650' perimeter ordinance.
We'd like to gather at 7:00pm at the Wall Township Municipal bldg to go over some details. Again, the meeting takes place:
Wall Township Municipal Building,
2700 Allaire Road,
Wall, New Jersey
September 10, 2008,
at 7:30 p.m..
1. The press will be in attendence. Let's prove to the media and the committee that outdoorsmen/women are respectful, dignified, and intelligent people. Let's carry ourselves with confidence and educate them about the need for conservation by means of hunting, fishing and trapping.
2. If you intend to speak please state your name and then say "I VOTE." Then present your position to the committee.
3. Some important topics to cover:
a.) The need for deer/game management
b.) Auto accidents created by abundant deer populations - injury to people damage to vehicles.
c.) Deer damage to agricultural crops and livelihoods
d.) Deer damage to to residential landscaping, flowers, trees, shrubs...
e.) Statistics showing the safety of hunting
f.) Present that hunting is the only viable means to manage deer populations (and other game populations) and is also a source of food for the hunter and his/her family.
4.) Lawyers and law enforcement officials feel free to overview state versus municipal law, as well as issues of legal authority and law enforcement.
Feel free to discuss/present anything I may have overlooked.
See all of you at 7:00pm.
