I have a moultrie 4.0 with an infared flash...picked it up for about $200. Battery life is great as I get about 3 months of life while taking an average of 250 pictures a week. Trigger speed seams to be good as I don't have many blank pictures. Picture quality is good and unless you want photo album quality I wouldn't spend more money for higher megapixels. Lock it to the tree good!!! Maybe Santa will be bringing you one:D.

Would like some opinons on a decent trail cam to be left at my camp in PA for 6-8 weeks at a time. Will be set on a corn pile with a lot of bear activity. Looking for something that is not overly expensive. Was thinking of the Stealth Cam Sniper. Anybody have any experience with one?

I currently have a stealth cam. Absolute junk. The batteries will never come close to lasting 6-8 weeks. You would be lucky to get 3-4. If its real cold for any length of time, it will be less. I own 3 cuddie bak's. I would never buy another brand again.

I bought the Moltrie 4.0 for $99.Very easy to use so I thought. Let it sit for the last 5 days and all I got was 15 pics of me.It seemed to work great for about 2 hours then it shut off so I got NO pics so far.
I changed a few settings and went back to the default modes so its sitting out there now.I hope its shooting some pics

Anybody know how good the solar panels work? I just got a I-4.0 and suspect I'll need some backup to the D-cells it uses. If I use rechargeables, will the solar keep them charged? Ed.

I got a Moultrie 5.0 for $79 and I'm very happy with it. Check out all my trail cam pics on the Deer Hunting forum. And that's on the Low Picture Quality setting. I just put a memory card in it so I have it out now on the High Picture Quality setting. I'll post the pictures tomorrow morning. The camera is right in my front lawn :D.

The batteries last about a month and a half being used every day.

I just purchased a Moultrie I40 Game Spy. Works great, pictures are of very good quality. I bought a 2GB card for it, but It looks like it might be tough to get to the card due to a very small space. I have not used the card yet because I am not sure how I would get it out. Over all I am pleased with it.
