After a few hunts in bright sun and variable wind we had a great hunt. Stiff NE wind with clouds made the geese die magnifenctly as my buddy Jim says. After some confunsion on the geese's part as to where to land in the spread, we made some minor adjustments. We had them feet down in the hole after that. Even got some snows to decoy. We had set about 7 dozen snow decoys and the same number of canada decoys. Even had some feild duck decoys out, but they never showed up. I had scouted some in the field the day before...go figure. Just before we were going to pick-up we had a visit from Tom O'Rourk, the CO for Burlington County. Very nice guy, shot the breeze with us for a while. Gave us a good check. We had a deer hunter with us who had for gotten to sign his stamps. The CO gave him a break on the minor offense and let him sign them there. Very nice day.

Good job fellows. We had a little fun sat. morning also. Only got 5 but missed a few. The birds were real spooky had numerous flocks circle then just leave????

We didn't have any snow deks out but did have about a 1000 above us circling just out of range, possibly shootable but we thought they were landing. They bugged out as well.

Rumor has it they were flying around Salem county last sat. checking for spreads. We seen a low flying green helicopter and figured the man was sure to follow but never did.I 've been using the hell out of my range finder to make sure I'm legal...

You would think that by now Tracy would know where to look for us without the need for air support LOL!

Maybe it was the feds?

BTW Kurt, what as the bird count?

I know some guys that hunt cowtown area and they said Tracy was flying and calling in the ground man:D
I can't believe they didn't come see us if thats who it was, because we were real close to my buddies house, (he was with us) but it had to look funny from the sky....
