Guys,
I don't have a hunting dog but there seems to be alot of experience on here.
I have a pitbull pup Duke and he is about 6 months old, occasionaly he has been vomiting. It's not often but upon inspection it seems as if his food is whole like he's barely chewing it. Duke eats Royal Canin large breed puppy formula. My question is do you guys think the kibble may be too small and that's why he's not chewing it completely? or maybe something else?

I don't think it is the food, however if you haven't already, address this issue with your vet. You pooch might have a gastrointestinal parasite. Fairly common and easily taken care of with meds. Maybe try and switch to a different food.

When my black lab was a pup, she would whoof her food down without chewing. More often than not she would chuck it up, or part of it anyway. If the vet check doesn't show anything, try putting a ball of some sort in the food bowl. The pup will have to eat around it and it'll slow the intake down a bit. Just like human puke machines, there little stomachs are delicate. Except for when they eat a pile of crap from the other dogs and throw it up on your truck seat, on the wifes side. Sorry bout that guys, got off track for a second.:D Try the ball, or feed smaller portions more frequently.

our pup did the same had the vet check and all was ok, figured it was all the stuff she ate while outside(rocks, sticks, grass, leaves, gutpiles, rotten fish from the compost, neighbors cat food from her back porch)

still have the vet ok health to be safe

My yellow lab got into a gut pile that was laying up behind the cabin for 2 days. I came home from work and she was out of the fence, with green stuff ALL over her. I get out of the truck and she just wanted to jump all over me to show me what she found. I tied her to the porch post and soaped her down with dish detergent, wash rinse repeat, wash rinse repeat. Finally got the stank off. By this time her eyes were rolled up in the back of her head cause her stomach wasn't feeling so hot after throwing up half a gut pile. She was the most pittifull critter for bout 3 days. She finally came around. Don't think she lost her taste for the pyle though. She's 14 now and still kicken, a bit slow these days.
