How do you guys set up for snows and canada geese at the same time? Not sure if you have them seperated or together.

Kinda depends on where I am hunting. Down towards the Salem area I rarely set-up for both. Too many snows. In my observations the two species do not like to mix. Snows are just too aggressive a feeder for the canada's I think. I hunt around Burlington County and there are fewer snows in the mix, I will put out 2 or 3 dozen full body snows. I will put these on either side of the spread in a fairly tight group of 2 bunches. Remember to paint some of your snow dekes greyish to represent the younger birds and put them in distinct family groups. Where I hunt there is one flock of about 3000 snows. Once they are on a field they will break up into smaller flocks as they compete for the food. If you get them trading between fields, then it's game on. I really don't count on bringing them in, I count it more as good luck when they decoy.

If I'm out & about towards greenwich or mannington.. we'll put out maybe 3-4 dozen or so of each.. and when it comes to the snows, just try to work small groups of birds..usually you won't get mature birds..it'll be younger more naive blues or younger snows..

I went deer hunting for two freaking days in Pa...

I still have a position on the management issues though

Ducks are getting really tough with this weather. Time for some honkers with our combined rig.

Let me know up your way and I'll be in touch if I see them down here where we can get at em.

As A-5 has said, here in Burlington County we don't have a large population of snows, but we usually don't mix the two. We had them mixed the other day and it seemed to make the canadas spooky. I think with the snows gone, the canadas would have just locked up and landed.

A-5, someone said you may have a 10' john boat for sale, please let me know if you so, since ours was stolen last week. Boat has sat in the same place for 15 years and all of a sudden its gone.
