Knight makes them with a 240gr jacketed bullet. Their order # is 900230. T/C has a break o way sabot that you put what bullet in it that you want.I have a 54 cal. flintlock that loves a 240 gr 44 CAL. Hornady hollow point with the break o way. That T/C order # is 8226 .Powerbelt has them also

Holy cow! That place is cheap. Have you shot their product before? What grain? Right now I'm shooting 100gr pyrodex pellets and 240gr XTP's. Looking to downsize bullet weight to increase range. Any suggestions??

I thought the same thing so I tried every weight down to 180gr XTP.I shot up to 200yds and I gained very little.I also found out the lighter bullets did not have the down range energy.I shot a doe at 282yds last year and she dropped in her tracks. I do not think a 180 could of done that.Even at that distance the 245gr powerbelt opened up prefect.

282yrds. That is a hike with the smoke pole. I shot a 7pt last year at 137yrds and that has been my longest with that gun to date. My Rem. 700 is sighted an inch high at 100. I held right below the spine and still hit him low. He ran about 75yrds before he dropped. Any ballistics experts here??

I would not have taken that shot if I had shot the gun at 200yds a number of times .I was on a good rest and the distance was measured with a range finder I carry in my back pack. The only problem was if I had not hit a rib I do not think the bullet would have expanded at all. I called powerbelt and told them about the shot and they must have gotten on their computer and figuired with the amount of powder and the bullet I had that at distance I was very lucky .I can say I did it once , but I would not do it again. What cal are you shoting out of your 700?One inch high at 100yds should have still been dead on at 137yds.

It's a 50 with 100gr of powder and a 240gr bullet. My guess it might have dropped eight inches or so:huh:.Maybe a little human error involved too:o. That was the last time I shot the gun because a few days later winter bow came in. I want to try and shoot a little farther because I hunt a lot of fields during ML season. I saw a couple giants just out of range for me(pushing 200yds) before I killed that buck and was getting alittle flustered. I'll be shooting that gun a lot this year before season:thup:

I have a Remington 700 50cal and believe it or not the best shooting bullet out of if is a 375gr buffalo bullet. I have to shoot 150grs of powder ,but I have shot a many one hole groups at 100yds.It does ok with 100grs of powder, but it really drops off after 100yds .Have you ever tried the Barnes expander sabot? They shoots good out of my 700 also.I might have a few of those I can send you if you would like to try them.
