No flight at all today at madhorse seemed to be the consensus.we had 2 boats 2 seperate spots 1 buffy.:thdown:

Hunted a pond in the south zone this morning, no birds at all. I had one bird fly by out of raneg, and a small flight of canadas that stayed out of range. Left there around 9 and went to a different spot in coastal zone. Got 4 teal 1 black and 2 hoodies. Lots of ducks in the coastal meadows.

went out in the southern zone ended up with 2 blac ducks and a mallard....it was wierd the black ducks were like hybread they had patches of green on there head so im guessin there some mix breeding going on..but saw lots of black ducks but not ass many ass last weekend... good reports

This happens often....mallards will hump anything that sits still..... :eek:

If those wierd hybrids have enough mallard characteristics, we count them as mallards.

I think we will get them this weekend. Set up in the area where I was. They are in there, very skitish, and I think we go with small decoy spread 6 to 8 decoys. My 2¢
