I was wondering waht kind of shafts everyone was shooting. Ive been shooting ACC's for as long as they come out. Very tough arrow and I've never had a problem mechanically, they just happen to be about 160 for a dozen. I hate that aluminum bends and carbon shatters. Just lookin for the toughest carbon shafts in the 9-10 grain per inch range. I'm shooting roughly a 450 grain arrow at 274fps, so i definately don't need a lighter arrow. Gotta love Hoyt and their cam and a half.

ACC's are nice but if you want to spend less $ the Beman MFX Realtree Carbons are great for the money. 400's are 9.6 gr per inch and 340's are 10.2 yet they're real thin and with that weight also, makes for good KE and penetration. They are actually the same as the Easton ST Axis, Easton owns beman but are like $15 less a dozen than the Axis Camo's...which are of similar weight. For a little more $ the new Axis Nano Camo's look sweet. The new easton FMJ's are built just like & pricey like the ACC's but a little heavier, probably give you a little less speed but more KE.

I 2nd the Bemans. I shoot them (400s) and Carbon Express Heritage 150's with my recurves and longbows and I don't shoot at targets much, most of my practice is stump shooting in the woods. I've hit plenty of rocks/boulders...you say carbon shatters? I've beat the hell out of my arrows...buy Beman or Carbon Express and I challenge you to try and shatter one, I sure can't break them.
