I tried out the "Dead Sled" tonight dragging a big doe out. That thing is amazing. If you load it right it will skip across briars, logs, mud or whatever and it doesn't get caught up on scrub trees and vines. I couldn't beleive how easy it was to drag that deer out. It was like pulling an empty sled on the snow. I got it to the truck and stood the whole deer up on end next to the tailgate and shoved it in with one hand. No sore back tonight. Try one out. You won't be dissapointed.

Hey UNAMI,
I've heard of those "dead sleds". I'm trying to get ahold of one of the SKED's from my Medical unit in the guards. It's alittle big, but it comes in a over-the-shoulder-case with all the ropes and equipment to drag them or hook them up and hoist them out by Meda-vac. These things are GREAT to move our patients around in the field.
I made one out of one of those roll-up kid sleds. I just punched some holes along the sides and attached some good old 550 cord in the holes and braided a long piece to use as a drag line.
