shine on gun

I am a new deer hunter and am going to use a new slug barrel on my Remington 870. Does it matter if its color is camo, blued or matte black? I will be using a tree stand and hopefully out of sight. Also, I may purchase a scope mount and scope and am faced with the same color choices.

I know when turkey hunting I use a camo gun sock to conceal any shiny parts. Does that matter with deer?

It really doesn't matter when you are gun hunting. Camo does eliminate any glare and can keep you hidden better but typically the other blued or matte finishes look better. Its really a personal choice...
