Good luck, when was the picture taken. He looks like his coat is changing. We might be in for a really cold winter.

Monster 6 Offshore, good luck with him he is definitely an old mature buck. There is just something cool about a monster 6. What are you baiting with, looks like oats?
Stephen, what are you baiting with?
Just found the site, be back later to throw down some trail cam pics.

Apple and corn . and this is in a hard hunted area , I have been passing bucks for years there and a few seem to make it , when the velvet peals they move but when the rut comes they seem to know where the bait is and after the rut in winter they know . last year my good bucks i got on camera when i wasnt there , that is what keeps you on your toes i guess .

Wow. That is a huge 6. We have that gene up at our camp. Some look like mule deer.
Stephen, that's the oddest corn pile I have ever seen. Can you elaborate, is it cob or husks or what? Here is what one of my corn piles looks like.
Good luck with him! I am too excited about an elk hunt coming up to even think about whitetail.

I get bins of apple scraps from a friend and dump the whole bin. thecorn is spread out omongst the apples . it is harder to bait the remote areas but the areas on the farm i can drive up hit the brakes it slides out and tips over easy as pie .

:(:( Hell, put out a barbeque grill with a few steak's on it and I'll show up as well. In my opinion its disgusting to hunt over a dinner bell like the pics im am seeing. But cool pics all the same. Each to thier own

This deer reminds me of the Sara Palin picture where her big head is photoshopped on top of a kickkin bod. It does not fit
Measure the antler (top of antler to bottom of antler) to body (where antler joins head to hoof with leg extended) ratio. I measure 6 to 10.
The average antler/body/weight/ratio is 4 to 10.
Therefore, this deer must weigh 300# to support the mass of these enourmous antlers.
Or maybe its a elk. Come on now. Look at those antlers in relation to the head!
OK, consider the Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa thing. Do we want our children believing in this stuff? I demand this deer be tested.

Are you the guy who is in the pic with him last year when he shot the 10 pointer?
Also, did he tell you about all the deer he scares away. He's like a hyper kid in the stand jumping all around...

Good luck with your mission! I once hunted a ten pointer for 3 consecutive years with no luck. Ended up outsmarting him in the 4th year. His rack had regressed a little from his peak and the game biologist estimated his age as 5-1/2 years. Thats an old man in these parts. (Jersey Pines). Hope it don't take you that long.
