I'm thinking about doing some Coyote hunting this year.What brand rabbit distress calls or other calls are you using? And with the permit season at night, how do you work the calling and the use of the spot light to shoot? I picture calling one in and hearing it close by, turning on the spotlight, and taking the shot???? Fill me in on this thanks

It takes a lot of practice and just skill to get them to even respond to your howler let alone a distress call. All I can say is find a friend to go with at night, its not easy plus you willl need a 2nd and 3rd pair of eyes to see one coming in the dark. This coyote season started on Nov 8th for use of a shotgun or muzzeloader, so if I were you I wouldn't wait, get out there and try to locate them in your area first you may hunt them from dawn til dusk until the permit season kicks in. They have a huge range so they are constantly on the move!

Yes you are correct I said it backwards my fault! The permit allows you to hunt them at night as well as during the day...
