What is the deal with hunting NJ backwaters? I was down striper fishing today, which went awful. Last year Steve-O gave me some info. Is it all public? How about the blinds up on the sod banks? Any information would be appreciated.

yes, most of it is public. we don't have so many restrictions like del.,maryland some areas are NWR and have shell limits. many WMAs along the coast.

blinds built on public land can technically be used by anyone. The guy who built it will say differently, and want be very nice about it,:fight: but if it is on public land it's fair game. Good luck!

Will be out this saturday for some coastal action. Hopefully they come right in as it will be the first hunt of the season for me down there! Pick an island, cove, or pond and they will come in if you are hidden and don't move.

It is nice to have another brant now. Saw a lot of hoodies last weekend. Got a few jump shooting small creeks.
