The bullet in the picture is a 300 Weatherby Magnum. Just to show width.

Tough to say. Tracks are the most innacurate way to judge deer size and sex. Tracks get distorted with snow and ice melt. Often in any area the "Boss" doe will have the largest track. The only sure way of knowing if it is a bucktrack is by looking for drag marks behind the prints. Males always drag there feet. That being said it was a pretty big deer!!:D

Hey I wasn't there, but it is definately a buck track.. But there looks to be snow in the dew claws so it appears the track is older. Snow melt may make it larger. I still-hunt most of the time, so depending on the type of snow, the edges should be sharp. If its a fresh track, HE"S GOT BIG FEET!!!! Ha, Ha! When you follow the tracks were the toes facing out?? and did it travel in a straight line or seem to meander down the trail????

It was in the yard by the cabin. We had corn out but didn't see this guy. May have come while we were sleeping. ;)

In snow and mud does will show there dew claws..Look at some of the cows you posted in the pics...Not saying it is not a buck, but tough to tell. Scott for your own enjoyment pick up Leonard Lee Rue's the Deer of North America it is an awesome read and a wealth of knowledge.

There was some snow melt that could have made thart track bigger, but it still had to be a huge deer. Biggest doe we've got up there was 180lbs live weight. She probably had some big feet. But the bucks are pretty beefy up there once they get a couple of years on them.
Maybe one of us will find the cinderella whose foot fits this ice slipper. ;):D
