I bought the T/C Triumph 50cal and i have the Nikon Omega Scope and i will be shooting the T/C 250gr Shockwave. I just was wondering what pellets work the best for everybody as far as grouping the bellets and flat shooting and speed of bullets for put down power:huh:???? I do have places where i can shoot out to a 100yds plus. I was told that the regular 777 pellets are not that good and was hard to get good groups with. Just want to here more input before i my Pellets,

Thank you

I shoot 3 50gr Pyrodex pellets w/ a 250gr Shockwave out of my T/C Omega and can touch holes at 100 yds. Every gun is different and you might need to try different combos of pellets and ammo to find one your gun likes.

I agree with iHUNT49. Until you try a few types of pellets and loose powders you will not know what your gun likes.I shoot two triple sevens out of my encore and get inch groups at 100 yards all day ,but it hates three pellets .My Remington 700ML shoots three pellets the best. There are a lot of powders out there to try.I hope you get lucky and find one fast because you can run up a good bill trying to find that right load. Good luck.

I think the newer guns are cool but I think the older fashion muzzleloaders are beautiful and different , I shoot a T/C flintlock and patch & ball , with FFF powder . My pattern is tight at 100 yds. My cousin shoots the Omega with FFF with patch & ball and it shoots tight and best of all it's cheap to shoot besides there's no mistaking the sound of a true blackpowder CRACK before the BOOOM !

I shoot 100 grs of Pyrdex with a Hornaday 240 gr sabot in my TC shoots pretty good 2-3 inches high at 50yds.Pretty much dead on at 100yds.

My flinter likes 80 grs of 3F powder Pyrodex with the 240 gr Sabot. Shoots 50 yds to 75 yds out pretty good
Remember this is muzzeloading, black powder shooting. You will be hard pressed to get results like your smokeless rifles.

Nice scope by the way

It shoots as good out to 100 yards as any inline I have .It just does not go off in all weather conditions as the inlines.I know alot of people will think a scope on a flint is cheating .but with my eyes the days of using open sights for long shots are long gone.
