I just bought the Viper SS and I mainly bowhunt. At first I was concerned about the bar being a hinderence on shooting but it is no problem. I would give the stand a 5 out 5 especially for comfort, the seat makes you feel like you are sitting in a lounge chair:thup: Good luck with your purchase.

I have a Viper. I like the added feeling of security from the front bar. I set the top of my stand to about knee height and it really doesn't interfere with the bow. Its easy to use as well. I would upgrade the backpack straps on it. I also outfit mine with a bow holder off the left side, I'm a righty, because I find it easier than using hooks and such when hunting a new area.

I have a Viper too and like it a lot. I would modify the back pack straps too though. While hiking it in, I've had the teeth hit me in the calves; slicing my hunting pants and me too. I never understood why they were that way and not a better design.
4.5 out of 5 from me :)
