Does anyone use a pendulum sight? Would you recomend one?

Keller.. I have used the same sight for 15yrs now. Out lasted every bow I have. Never missed a deer yet with it. Easy to sight in once it is, it never misses.

I do not know much about them. Are they only good for tree stand use? or can you use them on the ground?

you can lock them from moving. it will give you a 20 yard pin, then two more longer range pins-depends on bow speed and arrow weight.

i have used the same keller for the last 17+- years. it has provided a lot of deer for me. the light has also provided a lot of deer for me.

I have this one. It adjusts up and down for yardage and the front unlocks for in the tree, letting it swing. It's ok but I'm looking to get something else. Kellers make way to much noise.

Kellers make way to much noise.
you have to get the newer bracket with the rubber bushings. and keep on it with the weather changes. it will expand and contract. just tighten it till it doesn't move, then back off just enough.
it does make noise if you pluck the string. but when you launch a arrow the arrow takes the energy not the sight.

I have a cobra model it's about 6 yrs old now. The sight has two pins on it (only one I've seen) one for 0-20 yds the other supposedly from 20-40yds. I personaly have never shot much more than 30. Works great not noisy either.

Is it true that they are very inaccurate with newer bows? My bow is shooting close to 300 fps. Which is about avg now i guess. I am looking at the kellers mentioned earlier.

I used one for the past 16 years with great success out to 30 yards. Almost like shooting a rifle. I swithced to the pins this year with the new bow and missed my first buck I shot at. If you have problems judging distances than the pendulum sights are the only way to go for treestand hunting. I have since killed my largest buck to date with the pins and feel I will gain more confidence as I shoot at deer and not targets. Pocket range finders are a must for anything past 30 yards. Good luck.

i have a vital gear star trak. it is considered a pendulum sight. i love mine to death. i have a pin from 20-70 yards. all you do is set a little fiber optic pin the move the pendulum to where you need it.
