i thought all nonresidents needed a guide in canada??
a guy i know bought a place in sask. but he wasn't a resident and still needed a guide to hunt. unless something changed, or it's only for crown land.
nice buck though.

There is only one province in Canada that you can hunt with out a guide.
Happens to be a very well kept secret.

Are you doing a shoulder mount? Today 09:18 AM
The pics got me thinking, I've been told that if you plan to mount a deer you shouldn't hang it by the head/horns. Stretches the hide? anyone heard of this?

Ive been hunting canada for alot of years and have even developed some really close friends up there and I asked about this very special province that dosent require any guides and they have never heard of such a thing. I would be interested in any info on this place.

The proper way is to hang from the legs so the blood drains away from the ham and loins. Although they do look bigger when hung from the head..
