Should be in stores by mid-day Monday. It is going to be released on the website at midnight Sunday night, Monday morning.

The guys at Sportsman Center were really touting the other two big companies, Bowtech and Hoyt when I was there last Saturday. They said the Mathews Dren and DXT weren't up to even the Switchback's standards of '06 ( and I tend to agree, I had the Drenalin and it wasn't half the bow the my bro's Switchback was ). A lot of what I've read on the net claims Bowtech had the best line in '08 and the '09 line picked right up were the '08's left off.

I checked out the '09 Hoyt on Thursday and it was nice. At 32 in axle to axle and only 3.6lbs it sure felt nice in hand.

A new bow looks to be my Xmas gift and after spending a few hours reading last night I think I'll be buying a Bowtech or possibly the Hoyt. The feedback on the Bowtechs is almost all positive. If I shoot those and don't care for them though, I'd love to get a used Switchback.

I havent checked out the 09 mathews.
I did a lot of research this past summer on bow and bowtech/diamond(a bowtech but one cam vs binary cam).

like most it came down to budget for me and i spent a few days with Ron at sportsmen's. couple hours each day...shootin the bows, seein how they felt, simplicity, etc. and COST.

I ended up getting a Diamond Nitrous. sweet arse bow and i got the bow, rest, site, quiver, etc for $599. they are worth a look.

and from what I've heard (other site's) Mathews hasnt done much to sway customers. Bowtech has....doesnt mean product is worse or better but BT is pulling more customers from mathews than mathews from BT.
its happening for a reason.......

Well this thread helped me change my plans. I was going to sell my swtichback XT for a DXT. I heard it was a lil better shooting than a switchback XT. So I guess now I'm deffinately not going to. Maybe I'll keep onto my switchback XT till something better comes by.

I've never shot the DXT, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have ordered the Switchback instead of the Drenalin. Don't get me wrong, the Dren was a nice bow, but it wasn't near the shooter the Switchback was.

So if you want to sell yours, let me know :)

What was the Hoyt 32 model called? I love my Matthews MQ-32 but I was thinking of upgrading. This Hoyt may be what the Dr ordered.

It is called the Alpha Max 32.

Looks sweet. The thing I like about my MQ is the 8 1/2" brace height. It shoots ver well. It is also a little lighter. I am still going to look though.

I agree with ya about the 07 & 08 matthews...they didn't compare to the 06 Switchback. That new Hoyt sounds sweet, might have to check that out, though my newly repaired 08 diamond/bowtech is shooting well now after the 1st one blewup, but if i had to do it all over again, i'd of gotten another Hoyt.

Man! All this talk I might just keep my 06 Switchback XT. I'll try shooting the DXT at the local shop, but maybe I'm not gonna change after all.

Only $870 to $900 for the new Mathews?!?!

They came out with 5 new bows including two with dual cams.

I can get my hands on the Hoyt for $750 ...

DONT GET A BOWTECH OR DIAMOND my 08 bowtech general blew up too. they recalled it about a month too late. they are not safe and are sacrificing too much for speed and weight. i got a new hoyt katera and love it.

i had a mathews switchback xt, i gave it to my son, i bought a dren, it wasnt as good as the switchback, so i bought a dxt, and that is worse than the dren, so i sold both of them and bought a botech tribute and i think it shoots better than all of them, its hard to tell unless you shoot 100 arrows or so (for me anyway) but botech has a great valley, and is very forgiving, that my two cents
