Yep, not a duck to be had... I have never not seen ducks at the spot I went to this morning.... Not a single duck or goose. The geese show up promptly at 830am everyday, except for today
Anybody got any good reasons the ducks werent on the move, besides all the heavy rain yesterday?

Hmmm... I was hunting a piece off 70 in pemberton, by any chance, is this where you might be also hunting? I usually see plenty off ducks out that way, but not today

we saw that the geese that did fly yesterday flew early. But it depends on where you're at I guess

Not a bad morning, expected much better, three mallards (1 banded hen), three woodies, one goose. The weather was not what I had expected, we were looking for more wind.
Banded bird went to my friends son, 12, his first. We were going to make him eat the heart, but he is smarter than we are.

Nothing like shooting duck in November in a T shirt... I hunted the PM yesterday with the tide. Not a ton of birds around but scratched up a couple.

Got the girlfriend out this afternoon (after going out this morning and blasting almost a full box of black cloud at some quackers and honkers :D)
And she got her first duck, a drake bufflehead...:D
