Looks like my trusty old 99 model Hoyt Redline again this season, being my new Bowtech Marquis just blew up on me after maybe 200 shots out of it (See bows & arrows forum - bowtech guys) Yeah, I'm pissed, should have bought another Hoyt!

Yea, I agree! That's why I still have my old one! It shoots so well I don't want to bother buying a new one & starting all over! Once you get your confidence on a bow & know that when you fling that arrow it's going to hit it's mark everytime! In my opinion that's 90% of hunting (confidence)

my fourth bow and second choice was the bowtech diamond but I am glad to go with what I bought - especially for ease of carrying and shooting in the treestand... had a velvet six Sat am but its earn a buck and he was just a buck.... he'll get bigger. Oh yeah, hotter than hell.

I got my bow at AM from Mike - third bow I've bought from him. He'll help you out until you get it right...

Wow....you're bringing back memories.....no overdraw? :D I shot a Golden Eagle back then, but used ( & loved) the star hunter rest, used the wasp cam locks ( how are you getting replacement blades now, or did you stockpile? ) I'm sure I used 2117's at one point, and also used the trophy hunter ( don't miss that one- try a caliper release- they're much smoother)
That setup will kill deer just as dead as a $1,000 high-tech setup if you put your wasps in the boiler room:D

The bows been on the shelf for 7 years, just dusted it off and started back up in 08. I was able to buy blades back in 2000 so they are still huntable, I don't think you can get them now. I also use a broad head diamond stone for three bladed heads. I'm just waiting for a faliure at full draw with bead on a buck though.

My bow has no sights and is too long to be effective in a treestand. I spend all my time stalking/hunting from the ground and shoot instinctively. I suppose traditional archery/hunting isn't very common in NJ
