Who will be out for geese this saturday? It looks like it could be another wet one like last years opener. Right now i'm planning on hunting in Wye Mills. What areas will ya'll be hunting?

Im torn between Phesants or Geese..... we have been doing very well with the pheasants but it sure is lots of fun shooting those geese..... gotta flip a coin on this one... I got a few this September for the early season.... I guess we could always do both..... actually I have a question... can shoot a goose or a duck if it flys overhead while you are Pheasant hunting? i dont see why not... you just cant hunt them with lead near water right?>

I actually dont think you can shoot them with lead anytime. I'm not sure, but I was under the impression that was the case.

no you cant shoot ducks or geese anytime w/ lead period. you could hunt pheasants w/ steel tho and then be legal. actually jumped a pheasant while duck hunting one time and the steel 4's did the job...

NO LEAD on waterfowl period. Yes, you can shoot ducks/geese while hunting pheasants, as long as the seasons coincide. I routinely kill ducks and pheasants in the same trip down by eastpoint NJ. Just gotta use steel or non toxic uber pricey ammo:D
