I'll be practicing all September at my backyard 3-D targets. October is coming fast, it's just tough deciding on bowhinting or going after stripers. If it's warm I go for stripers, cool and it's bowhunting. Either way, I'm out there enjoying the outdoors!

Since I can't hunt Sundays in PA, we have seafood sundays, and chase the striped ones.

i would be even more ready if the pa game commission got their act together sending out doe tags, i mailed a 3a first then another 3a and 2 5 c and 2 5d - they cashed the first 3a and 2 5d but only mailed the 2 5d:(

They say we will have the first round tags the week before the early archery doe season opens. We shall see.....

I got mine for 4C, sent it on the first Monday for out of staters. My buddy sent his 2 days before me and did not get his yet! They go by some strange methods for sure.

Got my tree stand set up and all the shooting lanes trimmed. Now I have to get the bow all fine-tuned. I don't know if I'll do any hunting in the September season. I'll probably practice every day during September and hit the regular opener on October 4th.

My sons first season with the stick and string and we have two good areas that produce good deer. Shame is that we have to harvest a doe first two does would almost fill the freezer. Almost ready son has his braodheads tuned and we shot last night not bad. I have to get a few more shafts and fine tune but I will be ready. Hanging stands this sunday and rechecking the game cameras.

This is my first year with a bow after 20 years using shotgun and muzzleloader. I've been practicing all summer and have my stand set up for opening day. I am pretty excited to take a deer with a bow, it's a brand new challenge and I can't wait.

I've gone from exclusively gun hunting to last season exclusively bow hunting in less than 5 years. It is a passion.

Spoiled down here in DE. It opened on the 1st. I've already been out with the bow twice, but each time only had the same little 4 point come close enough so let the little guy go.
